As we continue to improve our functionality, facility and service we are growing our list of electric golf trolleys or ride on golf carts for you to view, try and ask questions. Within the next two months we should have 3 or 4 buggies and 20 trolleys new and reconditioned from a variety of manufacturers so that we will be the one stop shop for when you want to purchase another trolley or ride on golf cart.
We will as usual continue to up date you as and when they become available or we add a new service/product to our business.

Golf Trolley Motor
The motor provides the power for your electric golf trolley and
is normally directly connected to the gearbox. Here are some of the symptoms to
listen for or be aware of if your motor is going or has gone. No turning and so
no noise, higher pitched whirling noise, no drive but power lights on and no
response from the potentiometer when turned. Sometimes it may be just the
brushes that need fixing or replacing rather than the motor and occasionally
other problems are present along with a faulty motor but we can tell you more
accurately after a look at it.

Broken Strap
The straps are located at the bottom and one at the top of
the frame to hold the bag in place on the trolley and stop it falling off when
going either over very bumpy ground or on side hills. They just go through the
bag support round the back of it and back through the slot to the front where
they clip into place to secure the bag. This is the same at the bottom and so
if one has snapped or the plastic clip has snapped they can easily be
replaced. The strap doubles back through
the clip so just push it back on itself so it comes out the clip, Get the new
clip and thread the strip through making sure it goes the same way as before.
The strap locks in to place because it doubles back on itself and tightens
against the rough edge on the clip.

Golf Season
Well, the golf season is getting underway particularly in the warmer climate countries anyway while we struggle getting through the wet, cold and wind. Hopefully this is at an end and we have got over it and are moving towards the warmer drier weather and we can all get out golfing again.
With new equipment coming out for us to try and buy following success on tour with the latest drivers and irons in particular but a whole abundance of new gear to choose from. We all think that by getting the latest driver that we can somehow cut our handicap which may work for the short term, this normally is associated with the good feeling of purchasing something newer and better. The correct long term way to improve would be to have lessons with your local golf professional who can then also advise you on the equipment best suited to you.
For some of the golf courses in Somerset/Devon borders there is going to be a lot of time to get over this period due to being totally flooded by as much as 4/5 feet of water and like the farmers just the water disappearing is only the beginning. The grass and earth are going to need to recover and grow again which is where the real work starts and will take a lot of time to get back to its original state. Because of this golfers will move to places where they can play and so the business will suffer and all we can hope is that they can get through that period too until business gets back to normal as well.
Here's wishing all those businesses and golf courses good luck and hope you all get back to normal as soon as possible.

Golf Trolley
Sometimes the trolley will lack power maybe particularly
uphill but other times not. The main causes for this are lack of voltage in the
battery caused from a faulty battery or charger, the trolley pulling too much
voltage from the battery causing the battery to lack power later, a faulty
gearbox, a faulty motor or excessive load on the trolley.
This
is where GolfTrolleyGarage can check your trolley to identify what the reason
is for the lack of power and advise you accordingly.GTG

Golf Buggy
We supply single seat ride on golf buggies from Electrokart, Powerhouse, Grasshopper and Groundhog to name some plus we also have two demo buggies so people can try/see them first whilst asking our advice on helping them make their decision. Some people require a buggy for health reasons but also just to make life a little easier on the golf course and with our range we're sure we can find one for you.
Here's one from the Electrokart series, robust, easy to use, easy to maintain and can fit in a car because it can come apart in to manageable parts. We have taken delivery of these for our customers and then arranged to drop it off to them so that we can show them how to put it together/take it apart and how it operates. We will then be on hand in the future should you need our help plus also to service and look after it.

Golf Season
Hopefully the weather will start to improve so that we golfers can get back out on the course, The rain has played a pivotal role in courses being closed, trolley bans and worse- havoc to houses and our transport system. So onwards to spring time and some warmer and drier conditions.
This has allowed us though to continue to improve our workshop, add some more golf courses to our service list and arrange some days where we will be going out to the local golf clubs to spend the day servicing trolleys, spreading the name Golf Trolley Garage and meeting our customers face to face. The dates of these will be finalised and posted online as well as at these golf clubs.

Control Box
Our first little article tonight regards the control box or controller. The control box is the brains of the golf trolley and its
purpose is to regulate the speed and power from the battery to the motor via
the potentiometer. The control box is not to be confused with the
potentiometer, which is located in the handle. It is essential that when you
are connecting the battery to the control box that you do not reverse the
polarity as in most cases this will result in damage to the control unit.
The second article is about the circuit board. If you have a digital trolley and lose the display on the
handle together with lack of power to the motor it is likely that the circuit
board in the handle has developed a fault. This may be down to a loose
connection but in most cases the circuit board needs replacing and if you let
us do the work we will also check the other wiring and potentiometer to make
sure it’s all ok.
We are continuing to move with technology and have various social media outlets to keep in touch with you and connect with you - Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Blogs and Youtube as well as our websites and soon to come an online shop where we will be selling various components and spares both new and refurbished.
