The axle is the main component to making the side wheels go
round and is turned through the gearbox. It is held in to place by securing
pins which go through the end of the gearbox, this does make replacing the axle
a little easier as the gearbox does not need to come off too. The axle goes
through two axle mounts located on the left and right hand side of the chassis
and are usually black and then at the ends of the axle will be a clutch
bearing, One for the left side and one for the right side and these must be
fitted on the correct sides as they will not work correctly otherwise.
