Battery Testing

The last few weeks have seen a period of battery testing with mixed results. Fairly new batteries failing the test and older ones passing, So remember to look after your battery by following the instructions laid out in the paperwork provided with your battery.
Long hilly courses, wet conditions, a well loaded golf bag, a faulty charger and improper charging procedures can lead to a battery not lasting that long. Also to note that batteries are being made with less lead content than was previously done because of the cost of it which has also led to batteries lasting shorter than previous ones. The move to lithium is the way forward as they are proving to last 5 times longer and sometimes more, they weigh about a quarter of the weight, they require less charging time, they are more powerful and will prove to be more cost efficient.

We hope this helps and if you require any more information just drop us an email, call or pop in.
